Southern Gentleman was born on a summer's day in 2023. After years of eating mediocre Catering, I decided to drop everything and build the Catering Company of my dreams. When COVID shuttered dining rooms, Jonathan Gaerlan—after 15 years working across every level of fine dining and restaurant consulting—discovered a catering industry that was often chaotic, unregulated, and inconsistent. Late arrivals, poor presentation, and a lack of professionalism had become the norm.
He saw an opportunity to change that.
